!@#$%& week

Talk about hitting the lows after the highs of last weekend - I have certainly come back to earth with an almighty crash. This has been one of the worst weeks I've had for a long time (well at least for a couple of months anyway). What with family crises (what bright spark said that it gets easier when the kids grow up?!), a niggling injury that won't go away, understaffed at work but expected to perform miracles, and a really bad headache that also won't go away.

I haven't been able to run because there seems to be a problem in the area of my left hip flexor - I'm not sure if its a pulled muscle or what it is but I DON'T NEED IT NOW! I have been sensible all week and only did a 15km easy run on Wednesday and I'm over being sensible - I want to run properly. Went to yoga on tuesday night and hoped that all the stretching would have some effect but when I ran Wednesday morning the niggle niggled and by the end of the day it was quite sore. I was supposed to go the gym today but when a friend suggested coffee I was there like a flash. I will take coffee over gym any day and this week particularly. So my motivation levels have slumped big time and I'm generally feeling sorry for myself. Even the arrival of my Garmin 301 didn't really get me excited for long because I can't run. So I have made an appointment to see a physio Monday afternoon and hopefully in the meantime whatever it is will get better.

Good to see you posting again, even if it's about a bad week.

FlashDuck was also wondering what happened to you.

Hope the Physio can help.

Glad to hear that you are around, despite the bad week. It seems that an 'easy' 15 on Wednesday wasn't a good idea . . . I'm learning to be far more flexible these days!

I hope things improve ~ being out in cold weather like this isn't very injury friendly. I'm always up for a coffee!

Was wondering where you were - not hte best of weeks was it. Although you did get time for that great blog update!

Shame about the hip - particularly with the 301 arriving. And yes, you did read right - my 201 is on its way as we speak. Trouble is, my right hip has been aching for the last 2 days as well. Hope it's not a garmin-thing ;)

Oh CJ. I'm sorry to hear about your hip problems. My fingers are crossed for you. Your body will probably appreciate the rest over the next few days. Keep smiling. J
BTW I loved Cloudstreet and am about to start Wives and Daughters by Elizabeth Gaskell

Oh no, I hope your physio appt sheds some light on it. It's just awful to be injured and not able to run. I am coming up to my 9th week of rest and it is driving me...and everyone around me insane!

Hang in there...hope it all blows over and your back to your happy enthusiastic self next week

I'm glad your back and blogging and your blogger update was excellent.. except you're not supposed to tell Mr Lulu about the other men in my life! Although he did buy me one of them.... he's only got himself to blame really.. took up running because of him and now he's created a monster!

I hope your hip is just a minor niggle and nothing more serious. You can always take the Garmin out for a walk and then you can practise uploading to the computer and the like so you're ready to go when you're ready for a run.

Send me a mail if you need any help getting set-up.

Hang in there CJ.

It's an awesome toy once you do start playing with it.

Get well soon CJ. There are many more speedbumps (hillocks) around Canberra waiting for you to conquer.

Oh No , It's not going to get easier when the kids grow up????

Anyhow, I'm hoping to be too old by that time to be capable of worrying.

Look after yourself.

Firstly great report on CR, nice work. My posting has been down of recent but it is nice to clock in to see kind words!

Secondly, be kind to your hips, lots and lots of stretching should see you bak and amongst it in a couple of weeks.

Good on you CJ, your support is really appreciated by others, good karma should see a minimal interuption!

Good running and best always.
