Injury update :-(

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I appreciate all the comments and well wishes, so please don't stop! *just joking!*

My knees are still sore and mucky; the right knee, more specifically the bony prominence below the kneecap is sore and swollen, and the graze looks revolting (I will not inflict any photos on you!). The grazes on the left knee are ok, they just keep oozing which is a bit annoying. The grazes on the elbows are healing; the bruise on the left hip is turning purply-green.

So, in short, there has been no training and I'm beginning to feel a little tetchy. Fortunately Mr CJ arrives home tomorrow (6am - can't wait) and then we are off to the coast (Merimbula) from Wednesday until Sunday.

Thank you again!

Ouch. It always hurts more the day after, doesn't it?

Enjoy your time at Merimbula. I love the south coast - such a beautiful part of the country

I'm reading (actually about to finish) The White Earth by Andrew McGahan. Up next is a book on Lance Armstrong called "Tour de Force"

It's all very well having blood all over your knees and taking graphic photos, but now this is interfering with training - now you really have my sympathy.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Your mind is very strong, only that this time you will have to wait to your body to recover.
Does it hurt a lot walking? I hope no...
You made me laugh!

ouch. I hope the pain subsides quickly. Hopefully not infected?

I've heard that a paddle in the Ocean helps tremendously in relaxation and refreshing the mind.

Enjoy the coast.

Merimbula sounds lovely. I hope you have a great time and those horrible grazes heal quickly.

Have a great time on the coast CJ. Some sea water will definitely speed up the healing process.

Damn CJ - great pics. Hope you don't get too down about missing a few days running - rest assured it won't be seriously affecting you marathon prep at least. I guess these things just happen (I'm notorious for falling over while running too)

Bet the grazes will sting in the water down at Merimbula!

Well that's one way to get out of your 26k run.....

Hope the recovery goes well.

Thanks for your comments on my blog while I was away.

Cheers, 2P

Terrible fall, CJ! That photo says it all...nasty! I hope you give those knees time to heal properly lest you be stuck with permanent knee pain; are you sure there's no bone been chipped? X-ray if there's further problems or pain. Hope all goes well during the healing process.

How about another update CJ? Surely they can't be still oozing! Did you go in the water? Is that why so many sharks have been sighted off the south coast?

OUCH! I hate when I fall without any warning at all. I just want to burst out bawling and I often do. I decided I don't care what people think of me, if I get hurt badly, I am going to cry. You have great legs by the way.
