No easter egg blow-out for me - my Easter chocolate consumption tally so far is a Haigh's dark chocolate bilby that I had yesterday.

This morning's run was uneventful - its probably the best I've felt since SFT. So its all good.

Saw a Honda ad yesterday on TV. Nothing unusual about that. Now my music preferences tend towards Triple J rather than ABC but the lyrics of the ad caught my attention - corny as they are, I love the words to The Impossible Dream.

"To dream the impossible dream
To fight the unbeatable foe
To bear with unbearable sorrow
To run where the brave dare not go

To right the unrightable wrong
To love pure and chaste from afar
To try when your arms are too weary
To reach the unreachable star

This is my quest
To follow that star
No matter how hopeless
No matter how far

To fight for the right
Without question or pause
To be willing to march into Hell
For a heavenly cause

And I know if I'll only be true
To this glorious quest
That my heart will lie peaceful and calm
When I'm laid to my rest

And the world will be better for this
That one man, scorned and covered with scars
Still strove with his last ounce of courage
To reach the unreachable star"

And I second those lyrics. I just love that song! Thanks for a great afternoon and for sharing your amazing culinary skills. Yummo! It went far too quickly though. We need more time for those Italian dreams and plans - a whole day next time I think!!

Not corny at all. I love that song. It's on my iPod.

And as for your chocolate consumption - don't worry - I've had your share :-D

Feeling good coming into the marathon ... how good is that!

You still have you SFT fitness and now it sounds like your muscles are ready to go again.

Your dreams are possible.

Yay! Glad to hear you are feeling good again. Just in time. It could well be the Haigh's that did the trick :-)

The ad that's 'inspired' me most lately is the Tooheys New one where all the blow up monster men sabotage the beer truck. Think I might have to put that Tom song on my playlist for Sunday.

Detecting a quietly growing confidence there CJ.

Could be a late entrant, but not likely, bit too short,no mountains and you will do the team proud. Go girl!!

I'm surprised you didn't change it to "try when your legs are too weary".

You only overdo it when you run 41k and twice up Mount Tennent.

Glad you're feeling good at last. If you're missing the hills, throw in a sprint to the Parly House flagpole as you go past on Sunday.
