Another marathon over; another lurgy. There's a pattern happening here. Achey head, sore throat, achey all over...went to work and decided that it wasn't the best place to be so came home and got back into bed. Which is where I've stayed since.
Its interesting that just over a week after both SFT and Canberra Marathon I have come down with a lurgy. I thought I was being careful with my recovery. Mind you, its a bit hard to avoid bugs at home at the moment when two sons are wandering around the house moaning, groaning, coughing, spluttering and sneezing their bugs everywhere.

Ottenere bene presto. Rimanere via dai figli ammalati!
Oh a bright note guess its better than getting a lurgy the week before the race.
Take care and get well soon.
I hear you sister - believe me I hear you....
Good luck with the recovery.
CJ wears bright pink .. CJ gets lurgy .. SG doesn't wear bright pink ... SG doesn't get lurgy. Coincidence? I don't think so.
Incidentally CJ, to cheer you up where my humour (above) undoubtedly failed to, here is an article about a wonderful new way you can combine two of your favourite activities - http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/science/article1680260.ece
I can't see the full link above! "art" should read "article1680260.ece". Hope that works.
You need to have a bit more humf about you girl.
As for me? The Gold medal is in the bag.
Ron completed his first practice of the London 2012 Marathon course - and it was a piece of cake.
You can read his incisive mile-by-mile report of this year's London Marathon on www.ronhillsalterego.blogspot.com
I bet you hate to be stopped, that should be the worst part.
Recover soon and well you are there, enjoy this time!
we have something like that too ... ate some spicy chicken yesterday and just as for the lurgy ... it will pass .... not without some pain along the way
Hello Cathy
Hope the lurgy doesn't hang around too long. Look after yourself.
Liza
duct tape their mouths. easy!
Hilda says you are the worst part and large. That's not good.
Seems like you should be wearing a surgical mask, CJ. Too many lurgies....you need to rest more me thinks! Take care of yourself.
Sorry for the health problems. Please take care and recover, you will have to win some battles in Italy!
are you better yet?
I heard a rumour that she ran 12km on the weekend. Is it true CJ?!!!
Don't fret over your daughter. She'll be out of the house soon.
