The light at the end of the tunnel

It has only taken me all of the month of August but I think I am finally recovering from a bout of pneumonia, which was further compounded by sinusitis and complicated by a recent diagnosis of Coeliac disease. So I think I’ll just forget the month of August and move on….

Today is the first day of Spring and Mother Nature has certainly laid the weather on – gorgeous sunny blue sky, no clouds (that I can see while gazing out my window at work, taking a break from the squillions of emails that have accumulated since I’ve been away).

I haven’t run for over a month now. I went for a walk to the local shops on Saturday and suffered with DOMS on Sunday – sad, isn’t it! So I’ll focus on doing some more walking this week and maybe try slow jogging next week, fingers crossed. But at least I am up, out of bed, back at work, and feeling halfway normal – can’t wait until I feel 100% healthy again!

No I'm not!

Strewth was telling me about gluten-free Tim-Tams tonight. Also that you forwarded on all your important emails at work - you know, the dirty joke ones.

I didn't mention the word "dirty" -it's just his mind!AND he left training early - he sneaked off. You would never have done that CJ and it's so good to have you back in the world of bloggers. Woo hoo -CJ is back - soon she will outrun you all - look out Six Foot Track!

Great to hear from you CJ and that you are on top of things finally. Won't be long now until you are posting about the complete exhaustion from a 3 hr run!!!

Glad you hear you are up and about again CJ. Well, if you are going to get really sick it might as well be in the midst of a Canberra winter. And if it makes you feel any better I haven't run for over 3 weeks (due to both resting my injury and bronchitis).

Take care with your comeback, no need to rush things - Canberra mara is 7 months away.
