We had a quiet new year's eve - watched tv for a bit then headed off to Civic to watch the midnight fireworks from our vantage point near the Acton Ferry terminal. No alcohol, no partying, very quiet.
Today is a rest day from running so I enjoyed my sleep in this morning. In fact, I slept through my first coffee which was kindly brought to me while I was still sleeping. He didn't wake me!
I forgot to mention yesterday that while I was in Woolies I saw hot cross buns for sale - on 31 December! So expect to see easter eggs on the shelves shortly.

I would have thought you were joking about the hot cross buns except that my mum saw them too, and she also suggested that EASTER EGGS APPEAR EARLY JANUARY. It must be true then!
Nice start to the year CJ :-)
Happy 2008 - lets hope its a good one!
Thanks for the warning, I'll keep some candy around in case the trick or treaters come early as well.
As long as the typical Woolies queues hadn't started for the hot cross buns.
someone in washington state nailed a santa to a cross with "santa died for your mastercard" on a sign. confronting but true. now it's easter. and if it's not easter, it's someone's birthday at the office. do i know the person, no, but i'm putting dough in the kitty.
could we have one year in which all of us just celebrate by being together and not buying? except for ewen. he should buy me stuff. (and not instant air like some people!)
happy happy CJ! here's to seeing you at all your 2008 gigs (i hope).
Great fireworks! Happy 2008.
