Sydney Marathon - the short version

Stop Press: A marathon PB!!! Yay!!!

Time: 3 hours 41mins.
Previous marathon best: 3 hours 42.43mins (Canberra marathon, 2003).

Hot, muggy weather; challenging course, but I enjoyed every single kilometre of it (well after the first 10km), including those cruel, cruel hills at the 40km mark.

More will be revealed tomorrow.............

Woohoo!!!

Congratulations on your PB CJ under really difficult circumstances. It was great to catch up with you afterwards. When you are next in Sydney, afternoon tea at the Lindt cafe is a must!

Wow, well done CJ, a PB on that course in those conditions is very well done!!

It was good to meet you briefly at the finish while I was dragging my son around.

Congrats on your PB.

And in those conditions, humidity and heat, light rain and heavy rain and a little hill.

Hope you enjoyed the Coffee and Chocy afterwards. :-)

Hey CJ,
What an effort.... a PB on that course is so fantastic!! I am sorry I didn't get to meet you after the race, but I certainly gave you a cheer as you cruised down the cahill!! What a great day! I am definately aiming for Canberra next year... you guys inspired me on Sunday and I thought YES I really want to run a marathon.
Well done! Enjoy a rest and bask in the glory of a new PB! Woo Hoo!

WOW - Congratulations on your PR!!!! Great job!!!

I have to spend some time and learn how to set my Garmin to do intervals - sounds like it is much easier than the manual way I do it! Any tips?

Again congrats on an awesome marathon!

So missy - we are still waiting on the full race report and for you to disclose your secret as to how you had an "absolute ball" while running a marathon!!!

Hope all is well - so when are you next in Sydney ? I can hear the Lindt experience 70% chocolate tart calling my name ;-)
